The Week Ahead: Choir Auditions, Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, Recreation Play
Here's what's coming up in New Providence this week.

1. The will screen the movie "Crazy, Stupid, Love" (2011) PG-13, on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The library will also screen "Life, Above All" (2010) PG-13, on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as a part of their Foreign Film Series. For more information, visit newprovidencelibrary.org.
2. The Old Guard of Summit will host their weekly meeting on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will focus on "Estate Planning Changes and Future in Current Structure." The guard consists of Summit area men over 50 years of age who meet every Tuesday morning. For more information, please visit http://summitoldguard.homestead.com/
3. The Masterwork Chorus, one of New Jersey’s finest symphonic choirs, will hold auditions for new members on Wednesday evening at the . Highly experienced choral singers with strong vocal and sight-reading skills are encouraged to participate. 4. Have plans for dinner this Friday? Why not have dinner for a cause at the 's Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, which will benefit the Christopher B. Cosgrove Fund to build handicap facilities at the Legion Hall and will benefit the Post's General Fund. The dinner, beginning at 5 p.m., will include Spaghetti, Meatball and Sausage with salad, bread, soft drinks, dessert, coffee and tea (BYOB) for $15. A slide show introduction to The New Jersey Mission of Honor will be shown.
5. New Providence Rec's Middle School Musical Theater Workshop will present Doo-Wop Wed Widing Hood this Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. on the stage (Academy St. entrance). The play is a '50s musical comedy, complete with a Fairy Godmother, Big Bad Wolf and a sock-hopping musical score. Tickets are $3 at the door. Call 908-464-4430 for more information.
