The Week Ahead: Cyber-Bullying Lecture, Holiday Boutique, Cut-A-Thon
As you get back to work after a long holiday weekend, here's what's coming up in New Providence this week.

1. Dr. Schlobohm, Director of New Providence Chiropractic, has developed a powerful and informative lecture on pain free Golf, which will take place on Tuesday. This lecture, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at , will show how golf-specific fitness can increase enjoyment of the game. Those in attendance can learn simple conditioning tips to prevent injury, increase drive distance, and lower their handicap.
2. The Municipal Alliance is sponsoring a this Tuesday for parents in the community. Beginning at 7 p.m. at , Detective Sergeant Tom Rich will speak about current trends, real life problems and issues children face when using technology. He will also offer strategies for parents, children and schools to assist with addressing critical issues like Cyber-Bullying. This event is designed only for parents and young adults, and some of the material that will presented may not be appropriate for children.
3. The PTA is hosting their at 6 p.m. Wednesday to benefit the students of AWR. The event, which will be held at the school, will include many vendors selling handmade items, toys, housewares, clothing, jewelry, accessories, specialty foods and gifts, and gifts for the teacher or host. In addition, those in attendance can sell their cold for cash at the event or indulge in a professional makeup application, and enjoy a cash bar that will be serving wine and beer. This boutique is free and open to all.

4. Members of the NPHS Marching Band will be honored for their achievements at an awards ceremony this Thursday. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at the high school.
5. is hosting their from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. The fee for women and girls is $30, while men and boys will pay $20. There will be a gift basket raffle, refreshments, live music, and a gift- card drive. No appointments are necessary, but it is first come, first served. All proceeds will benefit Overlook Hospital's Good Neighbor Fund, which provides help to families with severely ill children during extended care. Residents may also donate a Gift Card to further help these families.
