Union County Brewery to Be Featured at Beer BBQ Bacon Showdown

Local breweries from Somerset and Union counties will be featured along with many others from the Garden State at the Beer BBQ Bacon Showdown.

The festival will take place on Saturday, May 21st at Lewis Morris Park-Doe Meadow Field in Morristown and will feature New Jersey-only craft beer, restaurants, chefs and food trucks, with an array of BBQ & bacon creations available for purchase.

A total of 20 New Jersey breweries will be in attendance, each pouring 3 styles of beer (and one of these styles will either a rare beer or a brew specifically created for the festival).

Local breweries include Flounder Brewing (Hillsborough) and Two Ton Brewing (Linden). Clark's Paragon Tap & Table will also be on hand serving food.

The event will be outdoors and under tents and live music from New Jersey’s own The Nerds will perform.

There will also be a competition to showcase culinary skills, with a panel of NJ celebrity judges choosing the best of the best, along with People’s Choice awards for Best Dish & Best Beer.

The VIP Hour (sponsored by New Jersey Craft Beer) takes place from noon to 1 p.m. and will feature a meet & greet with the Brewers, Pitmasters & Chefs, first access to rare & special beers and a delicious buffet prepared by Morristown’s own Tim "The Brew Chef" Schafer. The buffet is exclusive to VIP ticket holders.

Both VIP and General Admission ticket holders will enjoy unlimited samples of beer, a mason jar mug and People’s Choice Ballot.
