5 Cars Made Famous in the Movies

It may not be the Batmobile rolling down the street, but every now and then you may find yourself gazing at some wheels and thinking, "Hmm, now where have I seen that car?"

If it's one of the rides featured in this week's 5 Cars, you've seen it on the big screen.

From Edmunds' list of "The 100 Greatest Movie and TV Cars of All Time," we bring you five cars being sold in Morris County that were featured in motion pictures. Car features and selling prices are from Cars.com.

1.   2010 Mini Cooper – Used – $18,499

While an older model, the Mini Cooper made a splash in the 1968 original version of "The Italian Job" with Michael Caine and again in the 2003 re-make. 

From Cars.com: This model comes with ABS Brakes, Alloy Wheels and a 6-spped automatic transmission. A hatchback allows for more storage space and 1st and 2nd row curtain head airbags provide extra safety.

2.   2013 Dodge Charger SE – Used – $23,494

The Dodge Charger played a special part in the 1969 flick "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry." The car was also popular in movies like "The Dukes of Hazard" and "Bullitt."

James Bond has driven Audis but this model was made famous in John Frankenheimer’s 1998 chase film Ronin. The Audi S8 is the star in the film’s best chase scene. 

This beauty packs a punch with a 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Heated front seats, rear seats, steering wheels and mirrors will keep this thing warm even in our cold winters. For now, the air conditioning, 14 speakers and power moonroof will keep you riding cool in the summer.

4.   2012 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS – Used – $32,995

The 1976 version of this car was featured in the 2007 mega-hit "Transformers." The car actually transformed into the character "Bumblebee" in the movie. 

This 2012 coupe model comes with the works. A mighty 6.2L V8 engine packs enough strength to power two standard coupes. It is available with XM Radio and has been cared for by a single owner who put a measly 8,065 miles on it.

5.   2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 – New – $64,320

This speedy car made an appearance in "Gone in Sixty Seconds" in 2000.  

This 2-door coupe comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and its 5.8L V8 Supercharged engine will make it an exhilarating drive every time.
