Oakland Farmers Market Returns June 1
After a successful first year the Oakland Farmers Market will be back and better than ever this summer. Be sure to stop by and support local businesses while picking up some healthy treats.

The Oakland Farmers Market is set to kick off its second year on June 1. They will be located, as they were last year, outside of the Oakland Public Library each Saturday between June 1 and October 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“We are really excited to start our second year,” said Oakland Farmers Market President Jane Graham. “We have already almost doubled in vendor size and almost all of our vendors from last year have returned.”
The market is much more than fresh produce. Arts and crafts, music, apparel, lunch and fresh protein will all be available at the Oakland Farmers Market this year.

“We are just looking to promote local because we feel it’s the best way to help the local economy,” said Graham. “There is also a great sense of community at the market. I lived in Oakland for four years and didn’t know many people. Now I see people of every age range down at the market and then I see their smiling faces around town.”
