
Fighting through a torrential downpour Wednesday afternoon, Oakland firefighters responded to address potentially hazardous materials in one of two trucks that collided on Route 287, Northjersey.com reported.
One of the trucks reportedly hit an embankment near the bridge across the Wanaque River around 1:45 p.m., causing the collision with the other truck.
Oakland fire crews arrived on the scene due to the potential hazard of a load of transformers on one of the trucks, according to the news report.
No injuries were reported in the accident.
