Oakland Police Arrest 2 Men During Traffic Stop

The men had warrants out for their arrests, police said.

OAKLAND, NJ — Police arrested two people on outstanding warrants during a traffic stop earlier this month.

Officer Charges Kelly stopped a vehicle on West Oakland Avenue. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver, a 54-year-old man was taken into custody by the Fair Lawn Police Department due to an active warrant out for his arrest by the Fair Lawn Municipal Court, said Detective Lt. Christian Eldridge.

The passenger, a 65-year-old man, was taken into custody, processed, and later released by the Prospect Park Police Department for a warrant out for his arrest by the Prospect Park Municipal Court, Eldridge said.
