Oakland Shelter Trying To Save Pit Bull Attacked By Other Dogs
Capone's ear was torn to shreds and his legs were punctured several times

OAKLAND, NJ — An Oakland animal shelter is trying to help a pit bull who was viciously attacked by two other dogs.
Six-year-old Capone was attacked in his home and is hospitalized, said Megan Brinster, executive director of the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBAR). His ear was "torn to shreds and his legs are covered in punctures," Brinster said. The two other dogs at the home often pick on Capone.
Capone is in the hospital. His wounds are being cared for and is getting x-rays to determine if he has any internal injuries or broken bones.

Capone's owners want him to be in a loving home where he can feel secure and at peace, Brinster said.
RBAR, a no-kill shelter, has partnered with Jersey Pits Rescue, a foster-based rescue group, to help Capone.
