RIH School Board to Honor Students, Staff

The Ramapo-Indian Hills Board of Education has planned a meeting for Monday, May 13 at 8 p.m. in the cafeteria at Indian Hills. There will be regular business to conduct but this meeting has a special purpose.

Not only will Monday’s meeting be the final Board of Education meeting in the tenure of Superintendent C. Lauren Schoen, it will also be an evening to appreciate some of the key members of the Ramapo-Indian Hills community.

“Please consider coming to the May 13 Board of Education meeting,” said Schoen. “That meeting will be held to honor a number of people in our district--students, teachers, administrators and on up. It is one of those wonderful evening where we can thank people who have probably dedicated decades and decades if not a century of their time to us.”

Valedictorians for Ramapo and Indian Hills will both be announced and recognized, as will the Salutatorians. The board will also recognize retiring supervisors, administrators and teachers along with the district’s teacher of the year.
