The Week Ahead in Oakland

Here is a taste of some of the things you can find going on around Oakland this week.

  • The Mother’s Club of Oakland Presents “Comedy Night for Cancer,” on Friday, May 3 at the American Legion in Oakland. Doors are set to open at 6:30 p.m. for a buffet catered by The Brownstone. Guests are allowed to bring their own beverage of choice. For more information on the event or to purchase tickets call 201-405-1554 and ask for Laura or email clmbacz@verizon.net 
  • The Oakland Recreation department announced that the Baseball/Softball Parade will take place Saturday, May 4 at 9 a.m.. They are still looking for volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering contact Jill Hickey at jg426@columbia.edu.
  • The Ramapo-Indian Hills Board of Education will meet in the Indian Hills High School cafeteria on Monday, April 29 at 5:45 p.m. for a closed door executive session. The public meeting is set to begin at 8 p.m.
  • The Oakland chapter of Neighbors-helpin-Neighbors will meet Thursday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oakland Public Library.
