"The lake is wonderful , trails are well maintained. I hike there twice a week all year long. Many trails for young and old. Mountain biking is also wonderful to do. Tick level are low due to wide path. Highly recommended. Parking can get full fast so come quickly."

"A great little market with everything from flowers to veggies to bread to meat or fish for dinner. They also have lots of international foods to try. A wonderful deli counter that will make sandwich request of your dreams. And hot prepared foods for a quick pick-up ready meal. Great prices on produce. Lots of deals on cookies, crackers and snacks, like 2 boxes for a fixed price. This market is one of Oakland's many gems."
3. The Van Allen House: An historic house with a Colonial feel for those who enter.
One reviewer from Hasbrouck Heights NJ said:
"The Van Allen House was the last historical site I visited on my trip to Upper Bergen County historical sites. Sitting a picturesque piece of land in need of much landscaping, the Van Allen House is seeped in history from Colonial times. The house is very interesting to tour but in need of many repairs to bring it back to the way it was in the past. Still it had some of the most interesting crafts in its gift shop. Very nice group of docents let me see the house."
4. Holiday Bowl: Need to take the kids out? Put a bowling ball in their hand and take them to The Holiday Bowl.
One reviewer from Nashua, NH said:
"I was recently here for while we killed time for a wedding. The bowling alley was pretty clean and friendly. It wasn't old feeling or dingy or anything like that. They had a great little bar with about 16 beers on tap and you could have other drinks made. The bowling was fun. They have what seems to be the latest technology in the lanes so scoring and stats where all kept. It would recommend swinging by here if you are in the area and are looking for something to do."
