Vote King and Eilert for Ramapo Indian Hills Board of Education
Keep politics and extremists out of our schools

Dear Oakland Voters,
Your vote this year will have a profound impact on the community you live in. Oakland has a highly contested mayoral race, a hotly contested Regional Board of Education race, and a contested K8 Board of Education race. The stakes in the upcoming regional Board of Education race are extremely high.
We are running to represent Oakland on the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School Board of Education.

We grew up in the FLOW district. We both went to our regional high schools, Ramapo and Indian Hills, as did/do our children. We have a deep love for our community in Oakland with lifelong roots here, further evidenced by our long history of community service in our town.
We are disturbed to see the recent injection of politics into our regional Board of Education.

Our opponents, Audrey Souders and Melissa Kiel, are supported by members of the hate group Moms for Liberty, and are backed by an extremist group named NJ Schools. These groups advocate for book bans, removing mental health programs from schools, and political and personal agendas. During 2023, the current Board members aligned with this group have caused much disruption. They drove out our Superintendent and Business Administrator and two legal firms, overturned Harassment and Bullying recommendations from the Superintendent, overturned hiring recommendations and defunded critical mental health programs. Legal fees increased over 400% over last year.
We pledge that we will make all decisions student-focused, and by that we mean that every policy, program, and action taken by the Board of Education should have the primary goal of benefiting the students' education, health, and overall well-being. Our commitment is to ensure that the students' needs and best interests are at the forefront of our decision-making process, while at the same time protecting your tax dollars with proper fiscal oversight and a determination to reduce the exorbitant legal fees.
Please vote to keep politics and extremists out of our schools.

We are dedicated to our Oakland community and want to give all of our children the education they deserve, free from political interference.
