2 Found Dead In Jersey Shore Town: Prosecutor

WILDWOOD CREST, NJ — Two people were found dead on Atlanta Avenue in Wildwood Crest, the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office said.

A "deceased adult male and a deceased female" were found on the 300 block on Jan. 7, authorities said.

An investigation was immediately launched by the prosecutor's office and Wildwood Crest police.

The investigation has included witness interviews, the collection and analysis of forensic evidence, and the execution of court-authorized search warrants, according to officials.

No further details were shared. More information will be shared in the future, authorities said. The identities of the deceased are not being released as the investigation remains active and ongoing.

There is no threat to the public, authorities said.
