3 Jet Skiers Rescued From NJ Marsh, Police Say
The stranded jet skiers were airlifted by state police after they became trapped in a South Jersey marsh, authorities said.
WILDWOOD, NJ - Three stranded jet skiers were rescued by New Jersey State Police over Labor Day weekend after they became trapped in a South Jersey marsh, authorities said.
The State Police Aviation North Unit and T.E.A.M.S. North Unit executed the hoist rescue mission in Wildwood, the New Jersey State Police said in a statement. It was not immediately clear when over the weekend the rescue took place.
Troopers initially received an emergency call for help regarding the three jet ski occupants who had become stranded in a tidal marsh. The two teams were then able to successfully lift all three individuals out of the marsh and transport them to a nearby airport.
