9th And Asbury Closed For Paving Friday In Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Prepare to take a slightly different route Friday morning if you're heading across town. The intersection of Ninth and Asbury will be closed, starting at 6 a.m., for paving.

Ninth Street will be closed from West Avenue to Central Avenue and Asbury Avenue will be closed to through-traffic from 8th Street to 10th Street.

Drivers traveling cross-town should plan to use 8th Street or 10th Street to avoid the construction zone.

Asbury Avenue will be open to local traffic with continuing access to all businesses on the 800 and 900 blocks, but vehicles will not be able to cross the intersection.

Work is expected to be done before the end of the day. The paving is the final step in last week's emergency storm drainage repairs.
