Atlantic Cape Alum Wins Big On 'Hell's Kitchen'

Kyle Timpson, a Dennis Township native and graduate of Atlantic Cape Community College, will be a head chef for Gordon Ramsay.

DENNIS TWP., NJ — A local man has won big - he gets to be a head chef at one of Gordon Ramsay's prestigious restaurants after taking home the grand prize on "Hell's Kitchen."

Chef Kyle Timpson was crowed winner of the reality competition on Feb. 6. Along with being the head chef at "Hell's Kitchen" at Foxwoods Resort in Mashuntucket, CT, Timpson takes home a $250,000 grand prize.

"Who needs moisturizer when you have tears of joy," Timpson said following his victory.

Timpson is a native of Dennis Township and a graduate of the culinary program at Atlantic Cape Community College. He is also the first openly gay man to win "Hell's Kitchen."

"We are all incredibly proud," Atlantic Cape's Academy of Culinary Arts said in sharing Timpson's win. "Wishing you continued success in your career!"

Timpson's career started in South Jersey, working in seasonal restaurants. He moved to Philadelphia in 2021 where he worked at Moshulu and the Four Seasons. Timpson then became an executive chef at an Italian steakhouse.
