Bay Avenue Closed in Both Directions at 20th Street
Crews are repairing a sinkhole on Wednesday evening.
Bay Avenue is closed to traffic in both directions between 18th and 21st streets as a work crew repairs a sinkhole in the road on Wednesday evening (April 10).
A utility leak may have undermined Bay Avenue at 20th Street, where a hole about six feet in diameter can be seen, according to Ocean City Police Capt. Steve Ang.
The city hopes repair work on the county road is done in time for school traffic to nearby Ocean City Intermediate School on Thursday morning (April 11).
