Beesleys Point Bridge To Be Demolished
A new adjacent Garden State Parkway bridge will include bicycle access.

The old Beesleys Point Bridge will be demolished starting in the fall, and a new Garden State Parkway span to be constructed next door will include a separate lane for bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
In a Press of Atlantic City story on Tuesday, staff writer Richard Degener reports on the two developments.
The old bridge was part of Route 9 and runs adjacent to the Garden State Parkway. It once provided an alternative route to Ocean City's 34th Street causeway, but it closed in 2004.
