OCEAN CITY, NJ — One of Ocean City's most iconic and longest-running businesses is up for sale. Boyar's Market, after closing its 55th Street location, has listed its location at 1340 Asbury for $1,775,000.

"Established in 1924, this iconic neighborhood market has been serving the community for over 100 years with a rich history of quality food and service," the listing description reads. The market is listed for sale by the Quintin Group, eXp Realty.

In a Facebook post, the current owners noted that the closure of the 55th Street store was out of their hands as they had lost the lease. However, the existing location plans to open again in the spring.

Just last year, Boyar's Market celebrated its 100th season.

According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, the owners plan to retire, but will keep running the business until it is sold. They are looking for a buyer who will keep operating Boyar's Market.

"This sale includes real estate and a thriving business, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, deli, grocery store, and a booming catering operation," the listing description reads.
