Biggest Bang For Your Buck At This Jersey Shore Town In Fall: Airbnb

SOMERS POINT, NJ — After Labor Day comes local summer, the time where residents of the Jersey Shore get to enjoy their beaches without an influx of tourists. The fall season is also a great time to save money on traveling, according to Airbnb, who recommended a Jersey Shore city as a great destination to get the best deals during the off-season.

Somers Point in Atlantic County, just across the bridge from Ocean City, is one of 10 across the country that saw the most savings for traveling during the fall, according to an Airbnb press release.

"From smaller crowds to milder weather, traveling during the off-season has its perks," Airbnb said. "One of the best kept secrets is how affordable fall travel can be compared to the summer and peak winter months."

It was selected based on biggest percentage decrease in price per night between June through Aug. 2023 and Sept. through Nov. 2023, Airbnb said.

Airbnb surveyed guests on what's important to them when book accommodations, and more than 85 percent selected price as a contributing factor.
