Causeway Lanes To Close For 5K In Ocean City

The Trail of Two Cities 5K Race will cause closures on the Route 52 Causeway into Ocean City on Saturday:

OCEAN CITY, NJ — This weekend is the Trail of Two Cities 5K Race in Ocean City and Somers Point, so drivers going over the Route 52 Causeway should expect closures.

The inbound lanes of the Route 52 causeway (entering Ocean City at Ninth Street) will be closed Saturday (Nov. 2) from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the race.

Drivers may leave Ocean City during that time period using the outbound lanes of the Route 52 Causeway, but all motorists traveling into Ocean City are advised to plan alternative routes.

Police may adjust the scheduled closing hours depending on when the roadway is cleared of all race participants.

The race start is at the Transportation Center in Ocean City at 9th Street and Haven Avenue and it finishes at John F. Kennedy Park in Somers Point.
