Chocolate Lab Named Ocean City's Dog of the Year

Bailey wins the vote in the Ocean City Dog Park fundraiser.

Bailey, an 8-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever, was crowned Dog of the Year on Sunday during a ceremony at the Port O’ Call Hotel at 15th Street and the Boardwalk.

Bailey is a pretty good Frisbee catcher and an excellent fundraiser. He won his title by capturing the money vote of the public that donated funds at photo stations on the Boardwalk and in the downtown. He was also assisted by the efforts of his best friends. Bailey was sponsored by Uncle Bill’s Pancake House.

First runners–up were Oopsie and Oliver, two lively poodles sponsored by the Donna Gay Dillon Boutique. Second runner-up was C-Max, a perky little Bichon/Poodle sponsored by the Ocean City Dog Park.
