Jersey Shore Hit-And-Run Left 92-Year-Old Man Lying In Roadway, Police Say
The 92-year-old Ventnor resident was seriously injured after being struck by a Volvo SUV that fled the scene, police said.
VENTNOR CITY, NJ — Police are seeking a driver who seriously injured a 92-year-old pedestrian in a Jersey Shore hit-and-run.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on Nov. 20, Ventnor City police received multiple 911 calls about a pedestrian who was hit by a motor vehicle at Ventnor and Newport avenues, according to a release.
A 92-year-old man was found laying in the roadway, police said. He was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police did not share his current status.

A white Volvo SUV, possibly model XC40, had struck the man and then fled west, police said. The SUV should have front passenger side damage, according to police.
Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the driver.
