Like Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny is a product of New Jersey's Asbury Park music scene—E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt was a founding member and he continues to collaborate with Southside Johnny.

Songs such as "Havin' a Party" and "I Don't Want to Go Home" have become signatures for the band in its 37 years on the road.
