The lane closures are expected to begin on Route 52/Stanton Memorial Causeway southbound and move northbound as work progress. Additionally, closures are expected to start in the left lane and will move to the right lane. The closures are necessary to replace lights and lighting structures. At least one lane will be maintained on Route 52 in both directions. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays while driving through the work zone.

This work is part of the $2.9 million state-funded Route 52 Causeway Accent Lightning Rehabilitation project, which will improve lighting and lighting infrastructure on the Route 52 Stanton Memorial Causeway between Ocean City and Somers Point. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2025.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT's traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information
