Free, On-Demand Transportation Program Comes To Ocean City
Cape May County is offering a pilot program available at certain times on weekdays.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — There's a new way to get around Ocean City. Cape May County officials launched a free transportation pilot program that operates within Ocean City from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.
The service is available to adults. The county’s Fare-Free Transportation Program has long provided the same service to seniors, the disabled, veterans and low-income residents. But appointments had to be made as much as three days in advance.
The new program allows people to book a ride on-demand through an app and track the location of the shuttle as it arrives. The same services are available via phone.
