Here's What's Replacing Big Lots In Somers Point
This discount retailer appears to be replacing the closing Big Lots location in Somers Point.
SOMERS POINT, NJ — Those disappointed by the looming closure of the Big Lots in Somers Point won't be upset for long as a replacement appears to already be in store.
According to court filings, Ocean State Job Lot is proposing to take over the lease of the Somers Point location and others throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic. This proposal still needs to be approved by U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
Job listings for Ocean State Job Lot in Somers Point have also started popping up online.

Similar to Big Lots, Ocean State Job Lot is a discount retailer offering a wide variety of brand name merchandise. Currently, the store has no presence in Cape May County.
"We have expressed interest in several Big Lots locations," a spokesperson for Ocean State Job Lot told Patch. "Presently, that is all we can share publicly. We will provide more information about our plans as soon as we are able."
