Jamie Moyer to Speak at Ocean City Library on Dec. 8

The former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher will speak about his new book, sign copies and answer questions.

Anybody who is inspired by Jamie Moyer — who helped the Philadelphia Phillies win a World Series as the oldest player in the Major Leagues at age 45 in 2008 — may want to make time to see Moyer at the Ocean City Free Public Library on Dec. 8.

Moyer is now president of the Moyer Foundation and author of “Just Tell Me I Can’t.” He will be discussing his book, giving advice to Little Leaguers and telling how he defied the radar gun and defeated time at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in the Main Lecture Room of the Ocean City Free Public Library, 17th and Simpson Ave.

Moyer also will participate in a Q&A and sign books. Books will be available for purchase at $12.
