Master Plan Workshop Set for Wednesday
The Planning Board is working to finish a revised document that guides zoning and land use in Ocean City.

The Ocean City Planning Board has scheduled a workshop for Wednesday to re-examine its Master Plan, now in the final stages before potential approval.
The workshop is open to the public and scheduled as part of a Planning Board meeting 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in Council Chambers on the third floor of .
The board is in the process of updating its Master Plan, a document that guides zoning and land-use decisions for the city. The plan attempts to balance the interests of residents and businesses, development and preservation.

The extensive process and will include another public presentation on the final draft of the Master Plan — likely to be scheduled for later this month.
The public presentation will be videotaped, and the plan also will be posted on the city website, where feedback will be solicited.

A joint Planning Board-City Council meeting on the Master Plan will likely be scheduled before a final public hearing on the plan takes place. The Planning Board could potentially adopt the plan later this fall.
