New Bus Route Will Run From NYC To Southern Jersey Shore

JERSEY SHORE, NJ — Looking to travel to the shore from NYC? A new bus route is launching later this month to take travelers from Manhattan to the beach.

OurBus, an intercity travel company, announced that the company will launch a new bus route that travels from Manhattan to several points on the southern Jersey Shore, starting on May 19.

The route begins in midtown Manhattan at 51st Street and Broadway. The first stop will be in Galloway at the Frank Sinatra Service Area. Then, passengers will switch to a luxury SUV or sprinter van to travel to Absecon, Margate and Ventnor. Or, passengers will switch to a minibus shuttle service, which will take them to Ocean City and Wildwood. Passengers will be dropped off at town centers near the beach.

“New Yorkers have been waiting for a clean, fast, and economical way to travel to their favorite beach towns in the southern Garden State – and OurBus offers them a new, customer-friendly option,” Numaan Akram, CEO of Rally OurBus said in a release. “We look forward to providing visitors and homeowners with superb service that will make their summer travels easier, more relaxing, and more convenient.”

The route will run Thursday through Monday. Fare will cost $59 one way.

Amenities for OurBus passengers include complimentary bottled water, free Wifi and USB ports at each seat. The buses are contracted with independent coach services and are premium, charter-style motor coaches. Safety protocols for OurBus include comprehensive cleaning/disinfecting of each bus consistent with CDC guidelines at the completion of each trip.
