Ocean City Officer Graduates From Prestigious Law Enforcement Academy

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Ocean City Police Department is lauding one of their own for his latest prestigious achievement.

Capt. Patrick Walsh recently graduated from the FBI National Academy, the department shared in a social media post.

The 10-week invite-only program offers advanced classes in all facets of law enforcement leadership. Less than 1 percent of law enforcement officers nationally get to take part in the academy.

Walsh has been a member of the police department for nearly two decades. He's one of nine New Jersey graduates in the 249th session of the FBI National Academy.

"We are excited to have Captain Walsh back in house to assist with the summer season and cannot wait to see how he uses his knowledge and experience to further secure our departments reputation as the Gold Standard in Law Enforcement," the police department said. "Congratulations Captain Walsh!"
