Ocean City Enjoys 28th Doo Dah Parade
Beautiful weather draws thousands to the downtown and Boardwalk.
Ocean City kicked off a season of special events with its annual Doo Dah Parade on Saturday (April 13).
Beautiful spring weather decided to attend the parade this year, and thousands of visitors enjoyed a sunny sky, light breezes and relatively warm temperatures.
The spring parade — held for the 28th time in Ocean City — is a tribute to all things humorous and provides a chance for residents and visitors to get outside early in the season.

The parade begins in the downtown shopping district on Asbury Avenue and ends on the Ocean City Boardwalk near the Ocean City Music Pier. It is followed by a newer ritual: the Pie-Asco, a shaving-cream pie smooshing invitational, this year with prizes for artistic pie-faces.
The parade traditionally features hundreds of basset hounds (the only day of the year dogs are permitted on the Boardwalk), and the annual Basset Hound Olympics followed the parade.
