Ocean City Events: 'Footloose,' Outdoor Sales and Package Goods Orchestra

Events April 25 to 28 include Boardwalk and downtown table sales, a musical production and a free classic hits concert.

Upcoming Ocean City events include a volunteer beach cleanup on Saturday and a tribute to forgotten veterans on Thursday, and here are some other activities worth checking out.

'Footloose': The Ocean City High School Drama Guild will present “Footloose: The Musical” at the Bill and Nancy Hughes Performing Arts Center, beach block of Sixth Street at 7 p.m. April 25, 26 and 27. There will also be a matinee at 2 p.m. April 27). Tickets are $12 and $15. Call (609) 399-1290 ext.1442.

Table Sales: Boardwalk and downtown shops will hold table sales on Asbury Avenue (between Sixth and 14th streets) and on the Boardwalk on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28.

Bike Tour: There will a 13-mile bike tour organized by Body in Balance Physical Therapy and Fitness Center starting in Linwood  and proceeding over the new bridges and causeway in Ocean City, then returning to Linwood. This is the first biking event ever over the new causeway. The event benefits the American and National Parkinson Foundations. Call (609) 365-8499 for information.

Package Goods Orchestra: The Ocean City Free Public Library presents Package Goods Orchestra, playing musical gems from the '60s through '70s. You’ll hear favorites from The Mamas and the Papas, Fleetwood Mac, the Beatles and many more. All ages are welcome to this free concert in the Main Lecture Room (N110) from 2 p.m.to 3:30 p.m.
