Ocean City Hosts John R. Elliott Hero Walk and 5K Run

OCEAN CITY, NJ - The Ocean City Boardwalk will be host for the John R. Elliot 5K and Hero walk Sunday, October 21. The 5k run will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the walk will start at 11 a.m.

The 5K will be professionally timed and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Ocean City Sports and Civic Center.

The event is being held in hour of John R. Elliot, a Naval Academy graduate who was killed by a drunk driver in 2010. All proceeds from the event are going to raise awareness of sober designated drivers.
