Ocean City Housing Authority To Build Affordable Homes

Ocean City Housing Authority has entered into an agreement to build a 34 unit affordable housing complex for seniors.

OCEAN CITY, NJ - The Ocean City Housing Authority (OCHA) entered into an agreement with Ocean City Government to build affordable housing for seniors. Ocean City has agreed to help finance the project that would provide 34 homes for seniors, according to an article from OCNJ Daily.

The city will be giving $1.8 million to help finance the project set to begin construction at the end of this year, according to OCNJ Daily. Originally, the OCHA planned to build 20 homes with the funds from Hurricane Sandy, but will be able build more with help from the city.

After the construction of the 34 homes is complete, Ocean City plans to work with OCHA again for additional housing at Peck’s Beach Village and Peck’s Beach Village South, according to OCNJ Daily.
