Ocean City Votes Wednesday in Special Senate Election

The Oct. 16 election will decide who fills a vacant New Jersey seat in the U.S. Senate.

Ocean City voters will go to the polls on Wednesday (Oct. 16) for a special election to fill the U.S. Senate seat left vacant with the death of Democrat Frank Lautenberg over the summer. 

Democratic candidate Cory Booker, the mayor of Newark, and Republican candidate Steve Lonegan, the former Mayor of Bogota, are on the ballot with six other candidates for the Senate seat. There are no other races or questions on the special ballot.

Polls will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
