Outdoor Dining In Ocean City: Places To Watch As It Warms Up

Spring weather is creeping up slowly this year, and soon we'll be enjoying outdoor dining again at some favorite Ocean City eateries.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Patios and sidewalks make great dining spaces and the weather is bound to begin cooperating soon. Here are some Ocean City, New Jersey places that offer outdoor dining.

Jon & Patty's Coffee Bar & Bistro — Stop in at 637 Asbury Ave. for the delightful fare at this really popular brunchy bistro. When you have hundreds of online reviews and they are almost without exception super positive, something good is going on. Maybe it's the Jon & Patty's Coffee Bar & Bistro theme, Eat, Drink, Be Happy. Add to that a sidewalk table in the warm spring air, and it may be perfect.

Rojo's Tacos — When tacos are calling, head out to 601 Ocean Ave. for a quick delicious bite in the fresh air. This authentic Mexican eatery just reopened for the season and is serving it up. Rojo's Tacos accepts cash only for payment, so arrive prepared. Enchiladas and that perfect salsa verde await, with Baja fish tacos.

Island Grill Seafood & Steakhouse — The Island Grill Ocean City is celebrating 27 seasons and its website says it's now open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 4-8 p.m. Ready to seat you outdoors at 100 Atlantic Ave., it's a local and seasonal favorite for seafood.

Adelene at Port-O-Call — While some places on the oceanfront aren't open until Memorial Day, Adelene at the Port-O-Call Hotel opened April 2 at 1510 Boardwalk. The ocean view is waiting and so is Easter Brunch at Adelene.

The Hula — Also on the boardwalk in Ocean City is the Hula Restaurant and Sauce Company at 940 Boardwalk. Have a seat outside and enjoy this favorite Polynesian and Hawaiian cuisine and take home some delicious sauces. The Hula Sauces website says they are open "weather permitting" on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
