Owner of Ocean City's Manco & Manco Released From Prison: Reports

Charles Bangle, 58, was released from prison last week after spending more than a year locked up.

OCEAN CITY, NJ - The owner of Manco and Manco was released from prison last week. Charles Bangle, 58, was in prison for charges of tax evasion in 2015, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Bangle had pleaded guilty to crimes of tax evasion and said he hid money by having it delivered to his home encased in pizza dough, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

When he was sentenced, over 100 members of the community came to attest on Bangle's behalf.

His wife, Mary Bangle, was also sentenced to three years of probation and the couple was ordered to pay $248,560 for restitution, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Manco and Manco has three locations along the Ocean City Boardwalk, with the main location having been open since 1956.
