Pedestrian Dies From Injuries In Ocean City Crash: Police
A 21-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle in Ocean City on Wednesday has died from her injuries, authorities said Monday.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — A 21-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle in Ocean City last week has died from her injuries, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office said Monday.
The motor vehicle accident happened at 26th and West Avenues on Wednesday at 8:45 p.m., Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Ocean City Police Chief Jay Prettyman said in a joint statement.
A pedestrian, who authorities have identified as Katherine Lux, 21, of New Hope, Pennsylvania, was struck by a vehicle driven by Wilfredo Latimer, 44, of Egg Harbor Township.

Lux was initially taken to the Shore Medical Center and transferred to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center - City Division. She died on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
On Sunday, an autopsy was completed by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. The preliminary investigation determined that Lux died from the injuries she sustained in the accident, authorities said.

The incident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time, according to Sutherland.
