Police Remind Owners to Move Parked Cars From West Avenue

The Ocean City Police Department sent a reminder Tuesday morning that parking is prohibited on the entire length of West Avenue from North Street to 59th Street when the road is covered with snow.

West Avenue is a designated snow emergency route, and a city ordinance requires that it be kept clear to allow plows to remove snow and create emergency access.

Vehicles that remain on the roadway after a predicted snowfall starts on Tuesday will be subject to ticketing and/or towing, according to Ocean City Police Capt. Steve Ang.
