Popular Athleisure Chain To Open This Week In Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The popular athleisure chain Lululemon is set to open its newest pop-up location on Friday in Ocean City.

"Get ready to shop your favorite activewear and essentials—right in the heart of downtown," Ocean City NJ Real Estate Group shared in announcing the news. "Whether you’re hitting the beach, the boardwalk, or the mat, Lululemon has you covered."

The group brokered the deal. Lululemon is located at the former Ron Jon's Surf Shop, 761 Asbury Ave.

A sign on the store's window refers to it as a "pop-up." According to Lululemon, the company uses pop-ups as a way to "capture organic traffic and test markets to understand how we can grow our permanent store footprint in the future."

"Length of time open in a market can vary, based on factors such as seasonality of a market and future growth strategy for our brand," the Lululemon website reads. It's unclear if this will be a seasonal location or be open year-round.

Doors open at the new Ocean City location at 10 a.m. Aug. 8.
