Some Of NJ's Highest Winds In Ocean City In Monday Night Storm

Monday night's storm brought wind gusts in excess of 60 mph, according to the National Weather System.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Though the storm is over now, during Monday evening to early Tuesday, Ocean City was buffeted with some of the highest winds in the state, according to National Weather Service data.

At its highest, Ocean City wind gusts reached a speed of 61 mph, according to the NWS. The strongest in all of New Jersey was 67 mph in Ocean County.

  • Wildwood: 45 mph
  • Cape May Point: 43 mph
  • Sea Isle City: 41 mph

Coastal areas were mostly affected by the storm. Rainfall in Cape May County ranged from 1.42 inches to 1.82 inches, according to the NWS.
