SOMERS POINT, NJ — Five longtime Bernie Robbins Jewelers employees were gifted the "key" to the business as owners Harvey and Madalyn Rovinsky head to retirement.

May 7 was a day of celebration as the couple passed down the 62-year-old business at 507 New Road, Somers Point. A similar ceremony was held May 6 at their Newtown, PA store.

The Rovinskys had entered into negotiations to sell the business in late 2022, but before the end of the year, decided that what was best for Bernie Robbins was to gift ownership of the family-run business, debt-free, to five of their most loyal employees.
