Student Auditions Announced For Ocean City Theatre Company

Students can audition for the fall and holiday productions of "Hadestown: Teen Edition" and "The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition."

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Got a child who loves to perform? Or maybe just wants to try a new activity? Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) has announced auditions for their fall and holiday productions. The shows are "Hadestown: Teen Edition" and "The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition."

"Hadestown: Teen Edition" is open to students in grades seven through 12. This production will be performed at the Ocean City Music Pier on Oct. 18 and 19. According to OCTC: Set to one of the most captivating Broadway scores of the 21st century, "Hadestown: Teen Edition" follows the intertwined journeys of Orpheus and Eurydice, as well as Hades and Persephone, in a mythic underworld where love battles fear and hope must sing louder than despair.

"The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition" is open to students in grades three through eight. This adaptation will delight audiences at the Music Pier on Dec. 13 and 14. According to OCTC: This one-hour version of "The Wizard of Oz," specially tailored for elementary and middle school-aged actors, promises to be a wonderful holiday experience for cast, crew, and audiences alike. Remember before "Wicked" there was "The Wizard of Oz" so take a trip down the yellow brick road with the Ocean City Theatre Company.
