Trail Of Two Cities Race To Run Through Ocean City, Somers Point This Weekend

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The inbound lanes of the Route 52 Causeway will be closed Saturday morning as runners make their way across the bridge for the Trail of Two Cities 5K, linking Ocean City and Somers Point.

This annual race crosses the bridge, offering beautiful water views on the morning of Nov. 1. The inbound lanes of the causeway will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Drivers will be able to leave Ocean City during this time, but those traveling onto the island will need to take an alternate route.

Police may adjust the scheduled closing hours depending on when the roadway is cleared of all race participants.

The race starts at the Transportation Center in Ocean City at 9th Street and Haven Avenue and finishes at John F. Kennedy Park in Somers Point. Buses will be available at the finish line to transport runners to the start before the race. The last bus to the starting line in Ocean City from Kennedy Park will leave at 7:30 a.m. Buses will also be available to transport runners back to Ocean City after the race. The awards ceremony will be held in Somers Point after all participants have completed the course.
