Pioneer Pipe Contractors expects the water main replacement project on 10th Street and Haven Avenue to be completed within about two months.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — New Jersey American Water is replacing cast iron water pipes with a new ductile iron main along areas of 10th Street and Haven Avenue.

About 3,300 feet of cast iron pipes will be replaced on East 10th Street (from Palen Avenue to Haven Avenue) and Haven Avenue (from Ninth Street to 11th Street). The cast iron pipes were installed in the 1910s.

The project also includes replacing six fire hydrants and 80 utility-owned service lines along the pipeline route. The project is designed to provide customers with safe, reliable water service.
