Your 2021 Guide To Holiday Events Around Ocean City
Get in the spirit of the holidays by checking out some of these local events, including taking photos with Santa in an OCBP lifeguard boat.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — The holiday season is here and Ocean City residents can look forward to festive events in the upcoming weeks.
Here is a list of some holiday events in town:
Ocean City’s Holiday Spectacular

The Ocean City Music Pier stage will light up with the sights and sounds of the season as the Ocean City Theatre Company gives four performances of “Swingin’ Into the Holidays: Ocean City’s Holiday Spectacular” this weekend. A cast of professional singers and dancers will present a family–oriented, song-and-dance tribute to the holidays. See the performance schedule below:
· 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10
· 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11
· 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec 12
The production will be staged at the Music Pier with free parking nearby. Admission is $18 for adults and $15 for kids under 12. Tickets can be purchased online or in-person at the City Hall Welcome Center (9th Street and Asbury Avenue) or the Roy Gillian Welcome Center (on the causeway leading to Ninth Street).

Holiday House Decorating Contest
Registration is open for a new holiday house decorating contest in Ocean City. Judges will award prizes for homes in each of the city’s four wards and for businesses. Deadline for registration is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14.
A list of participants will be posted, so everyone can see the decorated homes. For more information and to sign up here.
Free Horse and Carriage Rides
Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. with boarding at Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue. Riders may have to queue up well in advance of 3 p.m. Rides will run weekends through Dec. 18-19.
Visits With Santa
Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mark Soifer Park (Ninth Street and Asbury Avenue). People can also take photos with Santa in an OCBP Lifeguard Boat from noon to 3 p.m. at the Ocean City Music Pier. Both events will run weekends through Dec. 18-19.
Elf: The Musical Jr.
The Ocean City Theatre Company Junior Company will perform a musical based on the beloved holiday comedy film. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Ocean City Music Pier. Tickets are $15.
