• Masked Man Brandished Handgun At Mall In Bergen County, Police Say (patch.com) — Shoppers at Paramus’s Garden State Plaza were put on edge after a masked man allegedly pulled a handgun from his waistband while walking through the mall Tuesday evening, police said. Paramus detectives used surveillance footage and a vehicle description to help Newark police locate and arrest a 19-year-old suspect, who now faces multiple weapons charges as Paramus authorities continue their investigation.
