Wrestling: Alpher Moves On

Paramus's only state wrestler makes it to the quarterfinals.

Things were looking good for Nick Alpher coming in to the first day of the NJSIAA state wrestling tournament in Atlantic City.

The 145-pound grappler earned a first-round bye, giving him time to rest before facing Montville's Parker Meytrott in the pre-quarterfinals.

The time was well spent. Alpher bester Meytrott in a one-sided match that wasn't as close as its 5-0 score.
