$1K Reward Offered In Morris Co. Armed Robberies

Have information about armed robberies in East Hanover and Randolph? Morris County Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward.

EAST HANOVER, NJ — No arrests have been made yet in connection to two armed robberies arlier this month in Morris County, and authorities are offering up to a $1,000 reward for information.

The two armed robberies happened hours apart in the early morning hours of Jan. 10. They have remained under investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, a spokesperson confirmed, but no arrests have been made.

The first of the two robberies happened at the East Hanover Exxon on the corner of River Road and Rt. 10 around 12:15 a.m., Knapp said. An attendant told police a masked, hooded man pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The attendant handed over cash, and the masked man fled on foot, police said.

Police described the man in that incident as being around 5 feet 10 inches tall, in his early or mid-20s, wearing black pants, a gray hoodie, gloves, and a black mask.

Over an hour later, around 1:30 a.m., a second armed robbery was reported at the South Salem Street 7-Eleven in Randolph. In that case, a man entered the store, pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money, Knapp said. The man left after the cashier handed over cash. He also fled on foot.

Police described the man involved in the Randolph incident as "a black male, thin build, carrying a black handgun." They said he was wearing "black pants with a white checkered pattern on the legs, a gray hoodie sweatshirt, black gloves, and a ski mask."
